Yesterday Steve and I spoke to over 200 people at Concord High School about our experiences in special education and being mainstreaming in regular schools and classes. A lot of the people in this picture are educators. Steve and I also got ask to go back to Sacramento in May to speak to more educators and state legislatures about this topic. Steve and I find it funny and ironic that I have a speech impediment, yet I get ask to do several speaking events about disabilities. We both love and enjoy doing advocacy work for disabilities.
Midsummer Makers Maker Fair
A happy customer from last weekend's Midsummer Makers Market Fair. This woman, Anita, spotted my Super Gang mug early in the day. She was thinking of buying it for her husband because he loves superheroes. But she said her husband told not to buy him anything. Anita was another vendor across from my table. My friend, David, was there helping us sell, so he kept joking with Anita all day how she needs this one of a kind mug and her husband would love the mug and we can put the mug aside just for her. It was hilarious!!!!! At the end of the event she finally bought the mug!!!!!

Nido's Backyard Bazaar Crafts Fair
This photo is from the Nido's Backyard Fair in December 2023. I actually signed up to do this fair a few times before, but each time I signed up it was cancelled due to rain. In December Steve and I said if they cancel this fair again that was it. It was a sign from God that I wasn't meant to do this Nido's Backyard Fair. The day before the fair I expected them to cancel because it was raining, and it was suppose to rain the next day, but they didn't. Even though the weather was lousy still had the fair. They had built a cover over the area where the fair was. It was still outside and very cold, but we were all covered. That was a good thing the area was covered because in the middle of the event it hailing. It was crazy!!!!!!!!!!! With all the craziness with the wind and rain and hail, it ended up to be a successful fair for me!!!!! Steve, Carol, and David, the 3 people who help me do these art fairs were like, "The things we do for you. You owe us lunch, dinner, and whatever else...." Lol.
