I'll be vending at this event! it's been a while- come say hi!

About the Festival

Glen Park has felt like a neighborhood for a very long time. In fact, the first Glen Park all-neighborhood gathering took place 90 years ago, in 1911!

But the modern-day Festival came to life in 1997, created by a group of neighbors who had been talking about the neighborhood's many artists and craftspeople. "Wouldn't it be great for them to come together to exhibit their work in Glen Park?" the conversation went. "How about a street fair?" Thus, the Glen Park Festival began.

Since then, the Festival has evolved from a folksy, spontaneous neighborhood get-together to a well-planned annual event that combines fun and community support. The Festival brings residents, neighbors and friends together for a day of entertainment, music, dancing, and good food. The day promotes neighborhood restaurants, artists and craftspeople from Glen Park and well beyond.

But it does something more: The Glen Park Festival raises money for children's programs based in Glen Park. In 2014, the festival donated over $25,000 to fund equipment, field trips, educational programs and other enhancements in and around the neighborhood. For more on where the festival's proceeds go, see our grant recipients page.

Applications for grants from the 2018 festival are now being accepted -- you can obtain an application here. Applications for grants must be received by May 19th, 2018.

Donations are accepted anytime, and a recognized 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, all contributions to the festival are tax-deductible.

The artists and craftspeople are so popular that many come back year after year, and the entertainment and food are as eclectic as the neighborhood!

It doesn't matter whether you're from Glen Park or Glendora — you'll feel like part of the neighborhood. The Glen Park Festival is a great time and a great cause! We hope you'll join us on Sunday, April 29th.

Finding the Festival

The festival is held right in San Francisco's Glen Park village, along Diamond Street between Bosworth and Chenery, as well as extending down Wilder street. Chances are, if you live in the neighborhood you pass through here most every day.

The Glen Park BART station is right across the street and will be running Sunday hours during the festival. The MUNI routes 44 O'Shaugnessy36 Teresita and 52 Excelsior also pass right by; the J Church metro line is a block away. Street parking in the area tends to be hard to find on festival day, so we recommend taking public transit if possible.

The festival is a non-smoking event; smoking is not permitted within the festival boundaries.
