This book was inspired from the two mallard ducks who constantly came and swam in the pool of the complex where I live.  Throughout the years these two mallards came to swim right outside my kitchen window, my attendants, my husband, Steve, and I created many stories about them.  One day I decided that these two ducks, Tansy and Max would be the stars of my next children’s book.

This story focuses on social anxiety and having time to ourselves is very necessary.  For Max, having a secret hideaway gives him peace and something to look forward to.  I incorporate main characters from all my previous books into this story, so thanks to Max’s girlfriend, Tansy, he becomes educated about different disabilities.
